Opening Hours!

We are open from 9.00am - 9.00pm until Sunday 5th November 2017. From Monday 6th November we are open 9.30am - 7.00pm Monday to Thursday, 9.30am - 8.00pm Friday and Sunday and 9.30am - 9.00pm Saturday.

We recommend you allow about two hours to see everything – although you can stay as long as you like. It will get busy in the middle of the day so come along early and take advantage of the All Day Ticket*! Enjoy part of the visit -  head out for a coffee or some lunch, or even to visit one of the other great experiences close by -  and then come in again to finish your visit anytime that day. Or, if you are looking for something to do later on, come in after dinner to kick off a night of fun - if you arrive too late to see everything, don’t’ worry, we give you a free pass to come back the next day so you don’t miss anything.

*The All Day Ticket is not available to groups entering on the discounted group rate.

Any Questions? Why not contact us on our brand new WhatApp number 07541599484. We are available to chat between 9am and 6pm everyday!

Teeny Tiny Toddler Fest

The wait is over – Teeny Tiny Toddler Fest is coming back, with five whole days of activities aimed at under 5s!

In 2018 our Teeny Tiny Toddler Fest will begin on Monday 8th and run until Friday 12th January. Our usual five floors of exhibits are all ready for you to explore; swim without getting wet, make multi-colour shadows, shrink the adults and grow the toddlers or even make multiple copies of your kids (only for the brave parents)!

There will be a space for tired tots to relax and snack away from the main attraction, while parents can have an all-important cup of tea. The whole family is welcome to leave and come back as many times as you like throughout the day to get the most out of Teeny Tiny Toddler Fest ’18 and Edinburgh’s Old Town.

Don’t miss your chance to explore our fantastic illusions and make some truly unique family memories!

New this year!

The Camera Obscura show is a 10-15 minute presentation with a guide which shows you the city of Edinburgh. Experience the best views of the city using the same technology as our visitors from the 1850s and hear a little about our history. The show takes place in a dark room, and as such is not recommended for under 2s or those that do not like dark spaces.

We encourage anyone a bit older (or parents with sleeping babies) to give it a try, as there are some magical moments as we interact with the city from above. We will ensure shows are toddler friendly by keeping them for families only, with separate adult only shows throughout the day.
